McAlister’s Deli Has Udi’s Gluten Free Bread and Kids Eat Free Saturdays and Sundays!

I am thrilled to share with you some news.  You may already know, but I didn't.  🙂  McAlister's Deli now serves Udi's gluten free bread!  Hip hip hooray!  Just one more option available to eat out.  It is fun to see all the options popping up.  We ate there on Sunday with some friends after church.  At the time, I did not know about the bread…I wish I had.  I would have gotten the sandwich instead of the spud.  My daughter got the spud as well.  It was good, just not as good as a sandwich would have been.

Having gluten free options is great, but isn't free good too?  Well, on Saturdays and Sundays, kids ages 12 and under eat free!  2 kids eat free with each adult purchase.  This is perfect for us because we have 4 kids.  So, we can all eat on Saturday or Sunday, a family of 6, a gluten free meal, for $12-$18 depending on what you order!  Wow!  This is so exciting!  I think we just found our new weekend place to eat out!  I almost can't buy the groceries to make sandwiches for this cheap!

Just a few words of caution.  The Udi's gluten free bread option is new.  I spoike with the southside store and they had the bread.  Just be sure to call your location before going.  Ask to speak with the manager as the employees may not be aware.  Also, have the manager either make your meal, or oversee someone to  make it as to not get contaminated.

Moes now has a Gluten Free Menu!

Did you know that Moe’s has rolled out a gluten free menu?  Come join us this weekend at our gluten free social as Moe’s is bringing us some yum to sample!

Hello rice bowls!  I am really excited to bring this news to you!  We are always trying to find new places to eat out that are gluten free friendly.   Moe’s was one of the places we always used to eat at once a week  because they had kids eat free.     We are so excited because Moe’s has just rolled out their new gluten free menu!  (As always, you may want to speak with a manager upon your arrival to be sure your food is kept from contamination.)

Here is their mission statement from their website:

“Did you know we treat our food just like our customers? We’re always focused on the best possible option – from vegetarian to gluten to low-cal to ingredients without rBGH, steroids, trans fat or MSG.”

You can find all gluten free ingredients on their website and an allergy guide.

To find a location near you go here.

On a side note:  I did speak with the owner of our local Moe’s stores and she has a son with a severe peanut allergy.  She understands the importance of keeping the “allergens”  from contaminating your food and is working hard with her employees to be sure they are aware of how important this issue is.   She will be there on Sat. at our Gluten Free Social so you can feel free to address these issues with her as well.
