Here is the dinner I threw together last week and it turned out great! Jovial was so great to send us some pasta and cookies to try and review their product. I had an idea what I wanted to make, but this turned out really good and it was super easy! It has really been a while since I have tried a new pasta. This was one of the things I had trouble with when we went gluten free. I had tried several different brands and didn’t have much luck until…..
We have been using the same pasta for about the last year and a half. My theory…if it’s not broke, don’t fix it? Ha! Well, I am happy to say that we now have options! I was very pleased with the Jovial pasta. It is about the same in price as what we are accustomed to.
100% organic gluten free
Firm texture – does not get mushy
Made only with brown rice flour
No added starches or additives
Made in a dedicated gluten free facility
Where to find locally– Organic Harvest is carrying their pasta and cookies and Whole Foods, last I was there had a nice selection of their cookies, but no pasta.
1 Box Jovial penne pasta
1lb boneless, skinless chicken, sliced or cubed
1 large red pepper
2 cups spinach
1 pkg. Philadelphia Cooking Creme, Italian Cheese and Herb
Cook pasta according to package directions. In separate pan cook chicken and red peppers in a few tablespoons of olive oil until chicken is done. Add spinach. Then add the drained pasta and toss with the cooking creme. Enjoy!
This is the display I found at Whole Foods! They are currently on sale for $3.49/box.
We were sent the fig filled gluten free cookies. They were really good. Very fresh tasting. They were light, not overly sweet, but sweet enough. Individually wrapped 2 pk. The cookies held together nicely. They were not crumbly or hard. My daughter was never a big fig newton fan, but she really has enjoyed these cookies. I plan to try some of the other flavors as well. I like they are individually wrapped. Makes for a quick grab on the go!
If you have tried any Jovial products, let me know what you think!
Disclaimer: I was given pasta and cookies from Jovial in order to perform a proper review. As always, thoughts and opinions are all my own.
This is part of our dinner. Recipe and review of the new Jovial pasta coming right up!
