FREE Gluten Testing

Do you have unanswered health problems?  Do you feel sick after you eat?  Are you tired all the time?  Do you ever wonder if it could possibly be gluten causing your problems?  Maybe it is time you have yourself checked for gluten intolerance or sensitivity.  I have a way you can do this for free!

I am super excited to share with you that Health Labs is running a gluten/celiac outreach campaign this month and have reached out to offer my readers FREE gluten testing indefinitely.    There is also a discount on celiac testing through 12/31/2016.

The free testing is to see if you have gluten intolerance or sensitivity to gluten.  It will work best if you are currently eating gluten.  This IgG allergy test uses a blood sample to determine if you are allergic or hypersensitive to gluten.  You can read more about this test here.   This test is normally $29 with Health Labs, but they are offering it to my readers indefinitely for FREE!

How it works:

You simply call in to Health Labs, or use the live chat  feature when you go to their webpage.   Let them know you are a reader of the blog Gluten Free Birmingham and are wanting to get the free gluten test.  They will ask you for your zip code and a few questions like your email where they can send you a confirmation with your nearest lab for the blood draw.  Then they will send you an email confirmation you will need to print and bring with you to the lab.  No appointment is necessary.  The blood draw should take you about 10 minutes.  Then your results will be sent to you within 1-3 business days.  They even have a physician available for consult for FREE once you get your results if you need help interpreting them.

If you would like to get the blood test done to reveal celiac disease, they are also offering my readers a discount of 50% off until 12/31/2016.  So, the price would be $124.50.  Same situation as above, as far as how to get the test done.  Since there would be payment involved for this test, you will pay Health Labs when you speak with them, so that part will be different.

From Health Labs website on Celiac testing:

Our Celiac Disease Antibody Screening Test screens for the presence of Tissue Transglutaminase antibody (IgG, IgA) and Gliadin antibody (IgG, IgA) in the blood. Celiac disease is characterized by the presence of Transglutaminase, Gliadin, and Reticulin antibodies. Such patients display a hypersensitivity to gluten (found in wheat, rye and barley) in their diet. The antibody is undetectable when patients with hypersensitivity are placed on gluten-free diets. Antibody IgA is more specific and IgG is more sensitive to Celiac disease.

This is available to my readers all over the U.S. where there is a lab near you.  The lab is Quest Diagnostics.

If you take advantage of this offer, I would love to hear your results!  Leave a comment and let us know how it went!  I wish we could participate, but since we are all already gluten free, it wouldn’t give accurate information.

Have a blessed day!

*I was not paid for this post, I wrote it out of my own free time because I thought this was a fabulous offer for our readers.
