I made these last night with GF Bisquick and they turned out FABULOUS!!
Here’s what you need:
1 1/2 cups GF Bisquick
1 cup sugar
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
3/4 cup milk
1 egg
4 tablespoons butter, softened
1/4 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
Mix all ingredients together well. The batter is a little loose for putting the batter on a pan for biscuits…so I put them in muffin cups and baked at 350 degrees 15-20 min. Makes 12 muffin/biscuits.
If you are familiar with Jim and Nicks…they have fabulous cheese biscuits! These are a great gluten free alternative, taste pretty close!

Thank you Miz Helen! Have a Merry Christmas!
What can I substitute instead of 1 c sugar?
Sorry it has taken me a while to get back to you on this, I use so much sugar and not much substitutes, (I am going to work on that some this year, I would like to essen the amount of sugar we take in) you could use agave nectar. Here is a table of how much to substitute.
I’m going to try these out tonight! I have to sub several things but it I’m excited to come close to Jim N Nicks at all. Being a Bham native I’ve always wanted to match that great biscuit taste.. l’ll let you know how it goes!
I would love to hear how it goes! And let me know what you substitute and I can add that as an alternative! Thanks April!
